On 14.02.2019 Leonid Karpov took part in the round table of the Committee of the Council of the Federation on Constitutional Legislation dedicated to the discussion of problems of free legal assistance to citizens. Prominent members of the legal community and representatives of regional authorities and civic unions spoke discussed the issues of accessibility of legal aid. Recently the Russian state commits a great effort to assuring access of indigent categories of citizens to quality legal aid. Significant and complex measures are taken, including necessary financing and inter-institutional coordination between government authorities on different levels aided by modern technological solutions.
