On 16/07/2022 Alexander Linnikov commented on the discussion of the new EU sanctions “package” against Russia for the economic news on RUSSIA-24.


The founder of LINNIKOV & PARTNERS noted that recent controversies between the EU member-states on matters of interpretation and implementation of sanctions against Russia currently in force create substantial tension on global markets, and the food market is not an exception. According to Alexander Linnikov, the proposed clarifications of sanctions are aimed at abolishing restrictions on import of agricultural goods from Russia, grain in particular, to the EU member-states in order to assure food security of the European Union.
