DIRTY MEDIA CAMPAIGN AGAINST OLEG KORSHUNOV

NTV plans to release the Special Editionshow dedicated to the case of deputy director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Oleg Korshunov who was arrested on 14/09/2017 by the Basmanny District Court of Moscow on a bogus embezzlement charge.
Korshunov’s defense strongly believes that the release of the show is a part of the deceitful and cyclical campaign aimed at discrediting Oleg Korshunov. Watching the show you will learn about non-existent ties between Korshunov and a famous con artist of the 1990-s, you will hear fake accusations of murder, as well as many other distortions, fact manipulations and outright lies. In out opinion, scandalous talk-shoes and sensational publication about Korshunov are nothing but elements of a carefully planned and well-orchestrated campaign against an innocent man, aimed at covering up true crimes and taking the public attention away from real corrupt schemes and their actual masterminds. It’s sad to see that the media, intentionally or unintentionally involved in this dirty campaign, become objects of blind manipulation. Furthermore, we do not exclude that some of the so-called journalists place the filthy content for bribes or bend to instructions from «above», disregarding the rules of professional ethics and basic human integrity.
It’s important to note that Oleg Korshunov’s attorney Alexander Linnikov was not invited to the filming of the show on 17/10/2017 and decided to attend it as a spectator on a tip about a brewing media provocation. After hearing absurd accusations of heinous crimes being thrown at his client, the defense counsel was forced to take the floor and directly confront the lying «guests» and «experts» in the studio.
The only other person who showed sufficient courage and, most importantly, conscience and integrity to openly stand up for Oleg Korshunov was the famous journalist Andrey Karaulov.
