Alexander Linnikov took part in the meeting dedicated to the discussion of possibilities of extension of international co-operation for the improvement and development of the city transport system and road infrastructure. The event at the Smolny Institute, historic seat of the Saint-Petersburg city administration, chaired by Vice-governor Igor Albin was attended by the heads of city authorities, top managers of project bureaus and construction companies, as well as representatives of JSC “Metrogiprotrans” and the Russian-Italian joint venture MMB Project Rus. Alexander Linnikov, member of the Board of Directors of the joint venture, represented the Italian shareholder of the company – MM S.p.a. (Metropolitana milanese). In his speech Alexander briefly presented the main areas of activity of MM S.p.a. and made the guests of the meeting familiar with the most important and impressive projects of the company in Italy and worldwide.
The discussion resulted in the decisions to form an international working group in order to identify the ways of implementation of significant infrastructural projects in Saint-Petersburg and to proceed to the drafting and signing of the Memorandum on co-operation between the Administration of Saint-Petersburg, JSC “Metrogiprotrans”, MM S.p.a. and MMB Project Rus.
