CONFERENCE “1918-2018: A CENTURY OF HISTORY AT THE BERG MANSION”

On 06.07.2018 Leonid Karpov attended the conference 1918-2018: A CENTURY OF HISTORY AT THE BERG MANSION. The event was dedicated to the fascinating history of the building that for many years hosts the Italian diplomatic mission in Russia and the Residence of the Ambassador of the Italian Republic. Reports dedicated to the development of diplomatic relations between Russia and European states were delivered by the Ambassador of Italy Pasquale Terracciano, Ambassador of Germany Rüdiger von Fritsch, Director of the Europe Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexei Gromyko and several other prominent Russian and foreign academics, diplomats and public figures. After the event in the garden of the Italian Embassy took place the ceremony of planting of a symbolic oak and opening of the memorial plaque honoring the German Ambassador von Mirbach, tragically assassinated at the Berg Mansion a hundred years ago. Leonid Karpov brought the best regards of the law firm of Linnikov & Partners to His Excellency the Ambassador of Italy.
