Alexander Linnikov took part in the conference on the development of parliamentarism in Russia

On May 26, 2014 LEAD Consulting Partner  Alexander Linnikov participated in the joint conference «Development of Parliamentarism in Russia: Constitutional Law Aspect» held by the Council on the Federation Committees on Constitutional Legislation and State Development and the Council of the Federation Committee on the Federal Structure, Regional Policies, Local Self-Governance and Affairs of the North.

The conference was attended by chairpersons and members of several Council of the Federation committees, representatives of the federal executive and judicial authorities, distinguished academics, and representatives of  public unions and associations.

While summarizing the interesting and productive discussion Chairman of the Council on the Federation Committees on Constitutional Legislation and State Development Andrey Klishas pointed out the importance of the representative function of the Russian parliament in the development of parliamentarism in Russia due to the fact that the Constitution of the Russian Federation sets forth the representation of the people of Russia as a primary mission of the Parliament.
