In the beginning of October, 2014 Venice hosted the international convention organized by the Venice Chamber of Trade and Commerce (ve.camcom.gov.it) on recognition and enforcement of international arbitral awards and the practice of application of the 1958 New York Convention on recognition and enforcement of the foreign arbitral awards.
The conference took place on 3 and 4 of October, 2014 and attracted practicing attorneys, legal scholars, and arbitrators from 15 European countries, as well as the USA and the UAE. Russia was represented by the LEAD Consulting partner Alexander Linnikov who spoke about the practice of recognition and enforcement of the foreign arbitral awards by the State Commercial Courts of the Russian Federation.
The conference was moderated by the founding partner of the largest Italian law firm Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners GianBattista Origoniand the Vice-President of the Venice Chamber of Trade and Commerce attorney Paolo Brugnera.
