“The administration of President Biden is already, as they say, sitting on suitcases. Therefore, there is an opinion that the introduction of additional sanctions against Russian citizens, companies and, most importantly, banks is already unlikely. However, it cannot be ruled out that this will happen and the cards of the two remaining Russian banks that continue to serve them will be turned off from servicing UnionPay cards. There are two months left, during which we will see whether any further decisive hostile actions will be taken against Russia and Russian organizations,” says Alexander Linnikov.
