MEETING OF THE PUBLIC COUNCIL UNDER THE COMMISSIONER

23/01/2025, Tatiana Tsepkina took part in a meeting of the Public Council at The Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the city of Moscow, which was attended by deputies of the State Duma and the Moscow City Duma, Heads of Public reception offices, representatives of business communities, Pro Bono public experts.

 

The business event was moderated by the Business Ombudsman of the capital, Tatiana Mineeva, who summed up the work of the Commissioner’s Ecosystem over the past year and noted the importance of further building cooperation between government and business in the implementation of national goals for the planned period up to 2030.

 

Since one of the key trends in the Commissioner’s Ecosystem remains the development of the capital’s investment climate, the meeting participants paid special attention to discussing measures to support entrepreneurship and issues of increasing the participation of private capital in the implementation of government programs.

 

“Due to recent events, one of the areas of work of L&P’s lawyers has become assistance to Russian private investors in unblocking assets placed in Euroclear and Clearstream. Our practice in this area is successful. Grateful clients have repeatedly expressed the opinion that they are ready to invest the “returned” capital in the Russian economy. But they want to have a guarantee of the ability to freely dispose of assets, that their capital will be liquid, and this requires additional legislative regulation. L&P’s lawyers express their willingness to discuss legislative initiatives and changes to existing regulations on guarantees for private investors on discussion platforms.
