ALEXANDER LINNIKOV ON RADIO “ZVEZDA” ABOUT THE GENEVA CONVENTION

On 08/22/2024, the founder of L&P spoke on Radio “ZVEZDA” with a story about the main provisions and practice of the Geneva Conventions of 1864-1949. Today, a set of international legal treaties, known as the “Geneva Conventions”, forms the basis of international humanitarian law and international law of armed conflict.

 

Commenting on the issue of international legal responsibility of States, Alexander Linnikov, in particular, noted: “The practice that emerged after the conclusion of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, when measures of international responsibility were imposed on Germany, such as territorial concessions, abandonment of colonies, restrictions on the number and equipment of the armed forces, as well as several war criminals were executed following the Leipzig trials, became more famous.”
