05/05/2024 the founder of L&P spoke on radio “ZVEZDA” with a comment on the holding of the first world economic forums.
“The first significant international economic conference is the Davos Economic Forum, which was first held in 1971 with the support of the European Commission, attended by more than 400 heads of the largest companies in Europe and the world from more than 30 countries. Since 1973, annual conferences have discussed not only management issues, but also the problems of macroeconomics of foreign policy. In the late 80s of the last century, the Davos Economic Forum took shape in its modern form and received its current name. The USSR and subsequently Russia have been participating in the World Economic Forum since 1986, that is, almost from the very beginning of perestroika in the USSR. Already in 1997, the tradition of holding the Russian Economic Forum arose, which was first held in London in order to present the Russian economy to the world community, and since 2006 the forum has transformed into the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Perhaps this is the most significant and large—scale event in the field of economics and politics, which takes place annually in our country,” said Alexander Linnikov.
